    Haven't Stopped Reading!!!

    This was one of the best purchases I've made from Ebay! This Kindle is small, light weight and fits right in my purse so I can take it with me anywhere and for me, being and avid reader, its much easier than carrying 2 or 3 books around in my bag. I also love that there is NO glare on the screen so I can read in any light and it also it came with a fully charged battery :) .. Another positive is that it came with its own charger so no guessing on what kind of charger I needed to go buy. The only bad thing about this product that I have found so far that is different than the other versions of Kindles from what I understand is that you HAVE to join Amazon for $100.00/year when you first register your Kindle.. right now I'm still in the 30 day trial stage, but I you can be sure I will be finding out if this is true or not because if this is true and I HAVE to join Amazon to get access to books, I'd be better off with a Nook tablet because at least they just charge you by the book you buy without having to join some club for $100.00.

    Nice Reader, over complicated operating system

    this is a decent reader, and the light is needed because it lacks the book like reading of my kindle touch. lying in bed you have no choice, but it uses the light because the screen is dark without a light source. with a light over head or in sunlight it looks like a book but in shadows it shows the low quality of the screen which is why they added the light to it. if you can get it cheap its a good buy just doesn't set your expectations high cause it will disappoint you. the operating system is a little hard to get use to because they try to make it like a phone but its harder to operate with all the different ways to touch the screen to get it to work. when using the light at half brightness the batter frains fast you will get around 10 hours of reading.

    great product

    I was a bit nervous when I received this, as no quick start instructions were included and I am definitely not very tech savvy. However, the reader was very easy to register, set up, and use. I am loving it. I've got a pile of "real" books to read, but am wanting to use the e-reader all the time instead. I've already figured out how to borrow eBooks from my library, and to download a few from Amazon and other sites. It is really light-weight and easy to hold. I haven't had any trouble reading in daylight or at night with a lamp, it is just like reading a paper book. No problems at all so far!

    Absolutely NO eyestrain just like reading a book but much lighter!!!

    Awesome! Better than any other Kindle e-reader and absolutely NO eye strain. As originally advertised by Amazon no eye strain like with back light or "front" light! The only Kindle I will ever buy. This is my FOURTH and they all still work just like the day they arrived. I now separate my reading material depending on what I feel like reading at any given time.

    To be honest, when I first opened the box, I thought it was too small and considered sending it back. However, when I actually started fiddling with it and started to read something, I found the size to be extremely convenient and cozy. I actually like this better than my older Kindle which was about twice the size. I'm very happy with this purchase.

    Just in time for christmas

    I got this for my daughter because she loves to read. I recieved it today (december 16, ordered on december 12) I opened it and was very pleased with the small compact size and condition of this kindle. Only time will tell how it truly holds up, so far I am happy and I hope my daughter loves it as well
