Do humidifiers have a filter?Yes. humidifiers have a filter that will need to be replaced, on average, every one to three months. This is because as the air is filtered through, the filter collects dust and other allergens. In order to prevent the re-release of these particles, it is important to replace your filter. Frequent changes also improve the efficiency of the humidifier.
Can essential oils be added to a humidifier?For most models, the only thing that should be added to the tank is water. Essential oils contain small amounts of alcohol, so, over time, these oils can wear away the plastic tank. There are, however, some models that contain a special chamber for aromatherapy oils.
