Everything You Need to Know When Selecting a Sony XDCAM Camcorder

Sony's line of XDCAM camcorders allow you to shoot 4K image quality for home movies, work projects, or other film projects. Not only can you film in slow motion with onboard audio but you have what you need for live-streaming to a wireless network. Intuitive and easy to use, these cameras allow you to create a quality film in relative ease.

There are many camcorders available including but not limited to the following features and options.

• Features: Options include 4K, built-in microphone, built-in Wi-Fi, LCD screen, and wind-noise reduction.
• Media format: Options include Blu-ray disc, DVCAM, SD, SDXC/SDHC/SD, and SxS.
• Recording definition: Choose from high definition, standard definition, and ultra high definition.

This features ensures that the electronics of the device get the colors correct because different sources of light like the sun and fluorescent lights produce slight variations of colors. To use this feature, locate the button on your device. Point the camera at a solid white object like paper once your shot is the way you want it. Press the control, and you should see its icon pop off and then back on in the LCD display. Once the white balancing is complete, the icon will no longer blink. It's a good practice to do this for each position change or shot.

Shots filmed with high frame rates can turn normal film action into slow-motion sequences. Manipulation of the frame rate we are accustomed to seeing gives the perception of slow motion. These devices can give you up to five times low-motion expression with no depth loss, view-angle loss, or other adverse effects for whatever project it is needed.
