Frosted window film is a great way to give your windows a high-end look. This versatile product allows light to pass through while blocking UV rays view and maintaining privacy for your home or office. Do you need to measure windows before ordering?

The film is not pre-cut, so you will want to have a general idea of how much window cling you'll need. If the roll is 36 inches wide and your surface is 45 inches, you might consider ordering a second roll. Don't forget to add a little extra for mistakes.

Where can you use frosted window film?

  • Windows
  • Shower doors
  • Crafts
  • As a protective barrier on cabinets or counter tops

Does the window film stick like a static cling decal?

Yes, the window film is very similar to a static cling decal, so there is no sticky adhesive to deal with when applying or removing the product.

  • Carefully measure the interior side of the glass, and cut a piece of film to the correct size
  • Prepare the surface by lightly spraying with a mixture of soap and water
  • Remove the backing material and apply the film to the damp surface
  • Working from the middle outwards, use a credit card or squeegee to smooth and remove all of the air bubbles
  • If you are not satisfied with your results, gently remove the film and begin again

Do you need to obstruct the entire window and view?

Not at all. Since window film can be cut to any shape or size, you can literally use it for any reason.

  • Cover the glass in your front door, but leave a peep hole
  • Cover the bottom half of the window to stop your dog from leaving nose prints, but keep the view for yourself
  • Block the bottom half of a conference room glass wall or door to add privacy, but keep the open feeling
  • For added privacy in a child's bedroom, completely cover the window, but cut out shapes like stars or other designs
