- Clean the exterior mirror of the Rondo thoroughly in warm water with a lot of soap.
- Cover any area that is not going to be painted, such as the mirror itself, with newspaper and masking tape.
- Use the buffing pad to abrade away any imperfections or leftover grime from the surface.
- Utilize aerosol pre-cleaner on the surface, and wipe it off with a cloth.
- Apply primer to the surface of the cleaned exterior mirror. Wait for about 10 minutes to elapse so that it is dry, then repeat this process two more times. After three coats are applied, allow it to dry for an hour.
- Sand the primed surface with wet sandpaper until the surface looks matte. After this is done, clean the Rondo exterior mirror with a damp cleaning cloth.
- Apply the paint to the surface of the primed exterior car mirror; just a single coat will do at first. Wait for about 10 minutes to elapse so that it is dry, then repeat this painting process two more times. After three coats are applied, allow it to dry for an hour.
- Apply the clear coat to the surface of the painted exterior mirror. This coat is to protect the paint, so make sure to apply at least three coats. Let it set for an hour and then wait an additional day before you reattach it to the Kia Rondo.
