These slits and drill holes provide ventilation for gases and heat which is caused during braking experiences to be vented away from the brake system components.

Calipers are a major component of the vehicles braking system. These parts provide the pressure necessary for pushing the brake pads against the disc surface. The calipers are located at the wheel point and can be seen through the rim. Caliper covers provide a more visual appeal for these components. The covers also provide protection from excessive mud or debris getting into the caliper area causing hesitation during braking.

A power brake booster is a component that works with the existing brake system installed in a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck. These parts reduce the amount of pressure that is needed on the brake pedal to maximize braking capabilities.
